Review: Lemonhead OG (hybrid)
Better than Hair of the Dog for healing a hangover.
Perhaps it was fate. Through forces wholly outside of my control, Lemonhead OG
came into my life at just the right time. Which is to say I reached for it on the first regrettable morning of a three-day weekend bender to celebrate
finishing the semester — and never looked back. Trust me when I say I speak from experience about Lemonhead OG’s spectacular tequila- headache-healing powers.
But even without a hangover, the strain is perfect for pain relief, pulling you under with
a thick, warm body-high that will linger indefinitely. It’s a comfortable but astoundingly heavy high, so commitment phobes would be advised
to look elsewhere.
The dense, light green bud has a pleasantly sweet and lemony aroma and a nice citrus flavor on the exhale. OG strains are notoriously euphoric, but this one keeps it easy with a dazed, gentle high that doesn’t overdo it. This strain is the stuff of lazy Sunday afternoons with Yo La Tengo on the stereo — and it’s thoroughly enjoyable with or without a hangover.
Price: $18 (gram), $60 (eighth)
